Trapped Inside the Mind
About This Work
A recent episode in which I experienced a surge of symptoms causing me to feel simultaneously hypervigilant and empty. Automatic thoughts of being perceived in a way where I felt unheard and over analyzing every social interaction consumed my brain along with constant stress that manifested into nightmares tailored to my everyday life fears kept me from having any escape. While reaching another point of managing my symptoms, there is still a residual anxiety and unnecessary analysis of every word that comes out of my mouth at work, in class, and with friends. As the title suggests, this leaves me trapped within my own mind.
