Emerson (they/he) is a person who has always used creative expression as an outlet. Using painting as one of their main passions, Emerson has only stepped out of his comfort zone to find their true style and skills beyond replicating an image in the last 3 years.

Understanding that there is no wrong way to express one's self, Emerson has found a natural pull toward abstract work. Emerson's thoughts and emotions is often displayed through color choices and line work, as well as more "in your face" artistic choices. Having a special interest in environmental sustainability, Emerson also incorporates fabric from stained and unwanted clothing and paper from old calendars and magazines in their creations.

Emerson is a strong advocate for the Queer community and de-stigmatizing mental illness. He is shamelessly neurodivergent, Queer, and lives with mental illness. Overall, they have a strong passion for social justice, intersectionality, and deconstructing unhealthy results of capitalism and social institutions. While a never ending process, Emerson strives to help others feel comfortable and embrace being themselves through authentic artwork. In their free-time, Emerson can likely be found creating art, reading, or being silly with his partner and 2 cats.
